Basketball Game Preview: Ganesha Giants vs. Monrovia Wildcats

The Ganesha Giants will head out on the road to face off against the Monrovia Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Ganesha can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Monday. They fell 66-61 to Santa Ana Valley.

Meanwhile, Monrovia took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past St. Monica Academy, posting an 87-47 win. The Wildcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 (when they won 88-16).

Ganesha took a serious blow against Monrovia in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, falling 80-33. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Giants were down 42-17.
