Soccer Game Preview: St. John Paul II Academy vs. King's Academy

St. John Paul II Academy has won five straight games at home, while King's Academy has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. St. John Paul II Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over David Posnack Jewish Day. Considering the Eagles have won four matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, King's Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 7-2 to Spanish River. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Sharks are ranked 64th).

Having lost for the first time this season, King's Academy fell to 7-1-1. As for St. John Paul II Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
