Orrville had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 3-5 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Fairless Falcons. The Red Riders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Fairless, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Fairless' part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Long, who went 2-for-4 with one run. Deegan Meek also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Coming up, Orrville will square off against Ravenna at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fairless, they will host Claymont at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
