Basketball Recap: Bodine Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Bodine had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas] Bulldog on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Ambassadors in their meetings with the Bulldog: they've now lost three in a row.

Bodine lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Joshua Grimes, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nigeir Fisher, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Soloman Ford was nothing short of spectacular for Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas]: he posted 31 points and five steals. Those 31 points gave Ford a new career-high. Jeremiah Vega was another key player, putting up nine points.

Looking ahead, Bodine will head out on the road to face off against Sayre at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas], they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-56 victory against Penn Treaty on the 4th.
