Battle Mountain dropped down to 16-9 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the North Tahoe Lakers by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Paitynn Johns paced Battle Mountain's offense, picking up 14 kills. Johns got some help from Jazmin Johnson and her 48 assists. Eimilie Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

As for North Tahoe, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 6th.

Marlo Johnson was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 31 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ximena Trinidad Castellano, who had 17 digs.
