Baseball Recap: Lake Ridge Comes Up Short

Lake Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the Boswell Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Tuesday.

Lake Ridge got a good showing from Kayden Mansell, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mansell has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Lake Ridge's record now sits at 8-16-3. As for Boswell, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 27-4.

As of now, neither Lake Ridge nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
