Baseball Game Preview: Lee Academy Cavaliers vs. King's Academy Lions

The Lee Academy Cavaliers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the King's Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lee Academy is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of King's Academy by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

For King's Academy's part, Lucas Fields made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Fields has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double.

Fields wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Alexander, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
