Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Edward had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Shaker Heights Red Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-17.

Jabari Babb paced St. Edward's offense, picking up 13 kills. Babb got some help from Michael Gall and his 18 assists. Davion Tan-Nguyen controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Edward pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Shaker Heights, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Coming up, St. Edward will take on Hudson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Explorers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Shaker Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
