Softball Recap: St. Mary's Knights vs. Joseph City Wildcats        
        
		
            
 St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They fell  10-7 to the Joseph City Wildcats. St. Mary's was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Joseph City apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March of 2015.
 St. Mary's got a  massive  performance out of  Gabby Pantoja, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Neveya Espino, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-3.
 On Joseph City's side,  Audrey Neill was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gabby Jesmer, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Joseph City, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games,  which somehow isn't as good as their 7-1-1 record  this season.
 St. Mary's is on the road again  on Friday to play Safford at 10:00  a.m. St. Mary's has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Joseph City, they will challenge Morenci at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday. Morenci is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 12.3  runs per game this season.
