Dickson County extends road losing streak to five

Recap: Dickson County Cougars vs. Springfield Yellow Jackets

This season hasn't been kind to the Dickson County Cougars, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They fell 35-28 to Springfield on Friday. While losing is never fun, Dickson County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Springfield is ranked 159th).

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaylee Edmisson, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. Edmisson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Saine, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.

The last time Dickson County won on the road was back on Tuesday. Having now lost five straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Springfield, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Dickson County will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Springfield, they will be playing at home against Kenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kenwood comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
