Softball Recap: South Mecklenburg Comes Up Short

South Mecklenburg managed to slip by Myers Park the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. South Mecklenburg lost 10-4 to Myers Park on Tuesday. The Sabres were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

South Mecklenburg saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashlynn Hall, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

South Mecklenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Myers Park, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Mecklenburg will challenge Hough at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hough's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so South Mecklenburg's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Myers Park, they will take on Cuthbertson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Myers Park's pitchers better be ready for this one: Cuthbertson has averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
