Football Recap: South Beauregard Takes a Loss

South Beauregard lost against Jennings back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 55-14. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 96th).

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Caleb Lemieux, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

South Beauregard dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jennings, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Beauregard will host St. Louis Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will be up against the Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Jennings, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
