Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Friday Harbor

Friday Harbor waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Darrington Loggers 8-1. The Wolverines not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 10-0).

Triston Bremer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Henry Pope, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Parker Aylward, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Friday Harbor's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Darrington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Friday Harbor will face off against Sultan at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolverines are facing the Turks at the right time seeing as the Turks are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Darrington, they will challenge Lake Quinault at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
