Basketball Recap: St. Peter Has No Trouble Against New Ulm

St. Peter hadn't done well against New Ulm recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The St. Peter Saints took down the New Ulm Eagles 85-67. The contest marked the Saints' most dominant win of the season so far.

St. Peter's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for New Ulm, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

St. Peter will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Worthington at 7:15 p.m. on January 2, 2025. New Ulm will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Maple River at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Ulm knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Maple River likes a good challenge.
