Volleyball Game Preview: Jefferson Eagles vs. East Troy Trojans

Jefferson is 1-9 against East Troy since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Jefferson earned a 3-1 win over Delavan-Darien. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Jefferson got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 32-30, 25-21.

Meanwhile, East Troy beat Whitewater 3-1 on Tuesday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Whippets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

In the three sets East Troy was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-11, 25-12, 25-15.

The win got East Troy back to even at 18-18. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 17-13.

Everything went Jefferson's way against East Troy in their previous matchup back in September, as Jefferson made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
