Baseball Recap: Perrysburg Takes Down Berea-Midpark in a Playoff Battle

Perrysburg had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Berea-Midpark Titans 6-5. The win was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Braxton Mefferd was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of JD Zeeb, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

Perrysburg hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berea-Midpark struck out seven times.

Perrysburg's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Berea-Midpark, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.

Looking ahead, Perrysburg will square off against Ross at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets are facing the Little Giants at the right time seeing as the Little Giants are stuck on a five-game losing streak. Berea-Midpark does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
