Basketball Recap: Ridgedale Comes Up Short

Ridgedale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mt. Gilead Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 59-58 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Ridgedale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mt. Gilead, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Ridgedale will head out to square off against McComb at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Gilead, they will take on Danville at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The game will give the Indians their first taste of in-conference action this season.
