Football Game Preview: Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions vs. Ransom Everglades Raiders

Immaculata-La Salle has gone a perfect 3-0 against Ransom Everglades recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Royal Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Immaculata-La Salle's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Immaculata-La Salle will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Booker T. Washington, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Royal Lions blew past the Tornadoes, posting a 31-0 win. That's two games straight that the Royal Lions have won by exactly 31 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Immaculata-La Salle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nate Merrell Jr., who threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Merrell Jr. is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Tyrone Williams was in the mix too, providing Immaculata-La Salle with two TDs.

Another reason for the win was Immaculata-La Salle's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Raul Alvarez was especially locked on to Booker T. Washington's QB and sacked him twice. Trayton Jones got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Ransom Everglades fell victim to Westminster Christian and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 22-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Ransom Everglades now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Immaculata-La Salle, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Immaculata-La Salle was able to grind out a solid win over Ransom Everglades in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 43-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royal Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
