Uintah is 7-2 against Wasatch since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Utes will head out on the road to challenge the Wasps at 3:30 p.m. Uintah is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Uintah is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Payson, who was ranked 12th at the time (Uintah was ranked 20th). The Utes fell just short of the Lions by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Utes in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Kenadee Mcallister was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Buist, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Wasatch's offense. They lost 12-0 to Mountain Ridge on Wednesday. The Wasps have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wasatch's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Uintah, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Uintah hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Wasatch struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Uintah took their win against Wasatch in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Utes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
