Basketball Recap: Apache Junction Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Apache Junction Prospectors had to suffer through a 68-39 loss at the hands of the San Tan Foothills Sabercats.

Apache Junction has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for San Tan Foothills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Apache Junction will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coolidge at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for San Tan Foothills, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Globe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Tan Foothills is on a four-game streak of home wins, Globe a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
