Baseball Game Preview: West De Pere Phantoms vs. Ashwaubenon Jaguars

The West De Pere Phantoms will challenge the Ashwaubenon Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West De Pere will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

West De Pere's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Menasha 8-0. The Phantoms might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Ashwaubenon's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Sheboygan North on Friday. The Jaguars had just enough and edged out Bay Port 1-0.

Not much got past Ian Aoki, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Bay Port off the board. Aoki has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

West De Pere's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Ashwaubenon, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
