Basketball Game Preview: Broughton Capitals vs. Caldwell Academy Eagles

The Broughton Capitals will take on the Caldwell Academy Eagles in a tournament on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Broughton is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since January 10th on Friday. They lost 72-51 to St. Anne's-Belfield. The contest marked the Capitals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Broughton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jordan Page went 10 of 14 on his way to 27 points and five rebounds. The match was Page's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Tuttle, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Caldwell Academy ended up a good deal behind Reidsville on Saturday and lost 63-49.

Caldwell Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Broughton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
