Baseball Recap: Irvington Preparatory Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Irvington Preparatory Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans 9-8. The victory was nothing new for Irvington Preparatory Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.

Aiden Pollock was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Owen Kriech was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Irvington Preparatory Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Irvington Preparatory Academy pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Irvington Preparatory Academy will take on Liberty Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, they will face off against Purdue Polytechnic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
