Basketball Game Preview: Furtah Prep Falcons vs. The King's Academy Knights

Furtah Prep is 0-6 against The King's Academy since November of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Furtah Prep Falcons will head out on the road to challenge The King's Academy Knights at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

The King's Academy will be up against a hot Furtah Prep team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Furtah Prep claimed a resounding 63-19 victory over Rock Springs Christian Academy. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Rock Springs Christian Academy are ranked 507th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went The King's Academy's way against Cherokee Christian on Tuesday as The King's Academy made off with a 51-27 win.

The King's Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Furtah Prep, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Furtah Prep came up short against The King's Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 40-33. Can Furtah Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
