Softball Recap: Globe Tigers vs. Payson Longhorns

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Xavier College Prep, Globe was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Payson Longhorns by a score of 10-6. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Zoey Tulk was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Erlynda Horta was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That hit was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jade Verdugo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Globe kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Payson only managed four.
