Basketball Recap: New Riegel Comes Up Short

New Riegel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Calvert Senecas and fell 69-19. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-20 back in January.

New Riegel's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Calvert, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3.

New Riegel is taking a road trip to challenge Old Fort at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. New Riegel is facing Old Fort at the right time seeing as Old Fort is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Calvert, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Danbury at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Danbury will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Calvert surely won't give up without a fight.
