While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Norte Vista was not quite Roosevelt's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Roosevelt Mustangs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 109th).

Norte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Roosevelt, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Norte Vista didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Chino on the 6th. Roosevelt has also already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Carter on the 6th.
