St. Bede was the 51-37 winner over Bureau Valley when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Bede Bruins fell just short of the Bureau Valley Storm by a score of 43-41 on Saturday. The Bruins were up 19-4 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

St. Bede's loss came despite strong showings from Lili McClain and Ashlyn Ehm. McClain posted 21 points and five rebounds, while Ehm almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 boards.
