Baseball Recap: Dimond Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Dimond, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Wasilla Warriors on Wednesday. For the Lynx, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Dimond let Ashton Purvis and Drew Dittman run wild. Purvis got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Dittman went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Purvis is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Caleb Cooke was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Dimond always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. The last time their OBP was this high was back in June of 2025.

Dimond has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Wasilla, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Dimond will host Soldotna at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Wasilla, they will head out to face off against Colony at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
