Volleyball Game Preview: North Iowa Bison vs. Eagle Grove Eagles

North Iowa is a perfect 8-0 against Eagle Grove since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bison will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

North Iowa managed to slip by Lake Mills the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bison came up short against the Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bison have suffered since September 2nd.

Meanwhile, Eagle Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to North Union. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Eagle Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for North Iowa, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Everything went North Iowa's way against Eagle Grove in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as North Iowa made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
