South Windsor came tearing into Saturday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the East Lyme Vikings. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

South Windsor's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Lyme, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Windsor will take on Windsor at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for East Lyme, they will venture away from home to take on Norwich Free Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3.5, the Wildcats 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
