Football Recap: Denver West Comes Up Short

Denver West fell victim to Littleton and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Lions and fell 39-0. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, the Cowboys' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Littleton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Palmer, who threw for 151 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.3% of her passes. That's the most passing yards Palmer has posted since back in September of 2024. Wren Freeman was another key player, picking up 106 receiving yards and one score.

Having lost for the first time this season, Denver West fell to 2-1. As for Littleton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Denver West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 31-0 defeat against Monarch on the 4th. As for Littleton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 38-6 victory against Lakewood on the 3rd.
