Lassiter's loss ends four-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Lassiter Trojans vs. Douglas County Tigers
After a string of four wins, the Lassiter Trojans's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to Douglas County.
Lassiter lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kenzie Wyman, who scored 19 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. Kate Squires was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Lassiter's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Douglas County, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Lassiter will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Alexander at 1:00 p.m. on December 29th. Hopefully Alexander focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 41 on Thursday. Douglas County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wheeler at 1:00 p.m. on December 29th. Wheeler will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
