             After flying high against John F. Kennedy  last Thursday, Canyon Lake came back down to earth. Canyon Lake fell  30-20 to the Fredericksburg Billies on Friday. Canyon Lake's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 Despite the  loss, Canyon Lake had strong showings from  James Garza, who gained 81 total yards and a touchdown, and  Jace Wheeler, who threw for 89 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
 Fredericksburg found their leader in underclassman  Griffin Beard, who picked up 194 receiving yards and a touchdown. Those 194  receiving yards set a new season-high mark for  Beard.
 Canyon Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Fredericksburg,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-4.
 Canyon Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against Somerset  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Somerset will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Canyon Lake surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fredericksburg, they will venture away from home to  challenge Davenport  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Fredericksburg will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  points each  match than the last.
