Volleyball Recap: Bella Roccaro and Bokenkroger Molly Secure Win for St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Grain Valley Eagles 3-2. The Guardians haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

St. Michael the Archangel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-13, 15-8.

St. Michael the Archangel was led to victory by Bokenkroger Molly and Bella Roccaro. Molly had 25 digs and two assists, while Roccaro had 13 digs. Those 25 digs gave Molly a new career-high.

St. Michael the Archangel's record now sits at 4-2. As for Grain Valley, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

St. Michael the Archangel has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against St. Teresa's Academy on the 10th. As for Grain Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Raytown on the 9th.
