Volleyball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Starts Season with Loss at Home

Mt. Pleasant unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the North Providence Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

While Mt. Pleasant ultimately came up short, they really made North Providence work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-27, 27-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-9.

North Providence's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Coming up, Mt. Pleasant will welcome Mt. Hope at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Providence, they will head out on the road to square off against Central Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
