Byron Nelson extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 41 on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcat have posted since August 24, 2024.

Byron Nelson was led to victory by Savannah Sterna and Sophee Peterson. Sterna had 13 digs and one assist, while Peterson hit 60% for six kills and five digs and one block. Peterson has been hot for a while, having also posted 16 or more assists the last 46 times she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sierra Canyon fell to 3-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, Sierra Canyon still got an impressive performance from Madeleine Zaragoza, who had 11 digs and one assist.
