Baseball Recap: Walter Johnson Comes Up Short

Walter Johnson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blair Blazers. Unfortunately, that's the sixth time they've come up short against the Blazers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 20-15 loss on Tuesday.

Walter Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 21-14. As for Blair, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-15.

Walter Johnson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blair, they will challenge Northwestern at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Blazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
