Basketball Recap: Tylertown Starts off Right with Win over Petal

Tylertown had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Petal Panthers, sneaking past 30-27. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Petal's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Tylertown will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Amite County at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Petal, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge South Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
