Volleyball Recap: Manti Takes a Loss

Manti was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the North Sanpete Hawks. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Templars haven't been shut out since back in August.

Manti took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, 25-11.

Addison Howell paced Manti's offense, picking up six kills. Howell got some help from Charlotte Chase and her ten assists. Paislee Clark controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Manti's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for North Sanpete, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.

Manti has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Emery on the 16th. As for North Sanpete, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Union on the 16th.
