Recap: Kerens Bobcats vs. Martins Mill Mustangs
The Kerens Bobcats lost against the Martins Mill Mustangs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Kerens was dealt a 83-38 defeat at the hands of Martins Mill. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kerens in their matchups with Martins Mill: they've now lost nine in a row.
Martins Mill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Milligan out in front who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Milligan has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Wright, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Kerens dropped their record down to 10-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Martins Mill, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.
Kerens will be playing at home against Cross Roads at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Cross Roads is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Martins Mill, they will head out on the road to challenge Frankston at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankston is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
