Volleyball Recap: Blessed Trinity Finds Playoff Glory Versus Eagle's Landing

Blessed Trinity extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Eagle's Landing. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Titans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blessed Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ruby McDermott, who had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs McDermott has posted over her last seven matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Woodward, who had five digs and three aces.

Eagle's Landing's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lhogan Wright, who had 11 digs, and Antonella Rodriguez, who had four aces and three digs. Rodriguez is also on a roll when it comes to hitting percentage, as she's posted one of at least 100% in the last three games she's played.

Blessed Trinity's victory bumped their record up to 34-10. As for Eagle's Landing, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 29-13.

Looking ahead, Blessed Trinity will challenge St. Pius X Catholic on Saturday. Eagle's Landing does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
