La Porte is a perfect 10-0 against Michigan City since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Slicers will be playing at home against the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

While La Porte's victory against Plymouth wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Slicers had just enough and edged out the Pilgrims/Rockies 2-1 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Slicers have posted since September 8th.

Madalyn Kreamer was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven matchups. Olivia Conn also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Michigan City sidestepped Merrillville for a 3-2 victory.

Michigan City wouldn't go down easily and took Merrillville into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 12-25, 15-7.

La Porte's win bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Michigan City, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-16.

La Porte took their win against Michigan City in their previous meeting on September 4th by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Slicers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
