Softball Recap: Rice Consolidated's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rice Consolidated can bid farewell to their 37-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against the Luling Eagles by a score of 6-2.

The team relied heavily on Kimberly Aquino, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Lexia Rangel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Rice Consolidated's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Luling, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
