Softball Recap: Preston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Preston and Kimberly squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Preston had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Friday.

Averie Madsen made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Preston's defeat dropped their record down to 25-4. As for Kimberly, their win bumped their record up to 27-4.

Preston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kimberly, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-7 victory against Cole Valley Christian on the 16th.
