Mason put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Middletown Middies 71-38. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Mason's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madison Parrish led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten assists. Parrish's afternoon made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Taylor Stanfield was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Mason smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Loss or not, Middletown got some senior leadership from Leila Johnson and Jamia Jones. Johnson almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards, while Jones dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Jones is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games.

Mason's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Middletown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Mason has already played their next contest, a 61-30 victory against Fairfield on the 15th. As for Middletown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-39 defeat against Lakota East on the 15th.
