Baseball Game Preview: Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes vs. West Bend East Suns

Whitefish Bay is on a three-game streak of home losses, and West Bend East a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes will look to defend their home field against the West Bend East Suns at 5:00 p.m. Whitefish Bay's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so West Bend East's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Whitefish Bay is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Slinger, who was ranked sixth at the time (Whitefish Bay was ranked seventh). The Blue Dukes had just enough and edged out the Owls 9-8.

Slinger hit West Bend East with a four-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Suns took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owls.

West Bend East saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Sommer, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

West Bend East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Whitefish Bay, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.
