Basketball Recap: Lexington Takes Down Cissna Park in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Lexington had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 50-45 win over the Cissna Park Timberwolves on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Minutemen sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lexington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Blaine Friedmansky out in front who went 7-for-14 en route to 17 points. Joe Cheever was another key player, going 6-for-8 to rack up 12 points and six rebounds.

Lexington's win bumped their record up to 26-7. As for Cissna Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 18 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-24 record this season.

Lexington will challenge Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cissna Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
