Gallup won the last time they faced Kirtland Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bengals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 victory over the Broncos. The win was nothing new for the Bengals as they're now sitting on six straight.

The team relied heavily on Lanelle Notah, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Notah, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Gallup's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Kirtland Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Gallup will face off against Shiprock at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Chieftains have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.38 runs per game on average), something the Bengals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kirtland Central, they will take on Aztec at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups.
