Basketball Recap: Mercy Prep Academy Piles Up the Points Against Faith Academy of Freestone

Mercy Prep Academy won the last time they faced Faith Academy of Freestone and things went their way on Monday too. The Mercy Prep Academy Royals breezed by the Faith Academy of Freestone Warriors to the tune of 58-11. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Mercy Prep Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Walker Hampton, who posted ten points. What's more, Hampton also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bradley Lewis, who had six points along with eight boards and six assists.

Mercy Prep Academy pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Faith Academy of Freestone, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mercy Prep Academy will venture away from home to take on Grayson Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Mercy Prep Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season. As for Faith Academy of Freestone, they are taking a road trip to challenge Waco Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th.
